Why plan your kitchen together with Snêk?

At Snêk, you plan your kitchen together with the people who also manufacture the kitchens. This ensures that every solution is grounded in materials, construction and real conditions — not in standard systems. You receive a plan that holds all the way through, no matter how far you choose to take the process.

What happens during the meeting?

The meeting is designed to give you clarity and direction in your kitchen planning. Together, we go through your needs and preferences, review the layout based on the room’s conditions, and discuss materials, function and overall expression. You will also receive an overview of the possibilities and the complete picture.

After the meeting, you decide if and how you would like to move forward. No obligation.

Here’s how it works

We begin with a personal meeting and create a design tailored to your home. During the final review, you have the opportunity to adjust the design before production begins. The kitchen is then manufactured in solid wood. Depending on what suits you, it can be delivered painted or untreated, assembled or unassembled. Regardless of the setup, the kitchen is customized to your space and delivered with the same care and quality in every detail.

Let’s create a kitchen built for your home.

We offer both digital meetings and in-person meetings in Stockholm, but you’re also very welcome to get in touch without booking anything at all.

Butcher block and work table

The cabinet for the butcher’s block and work table is assembled according to the same principle as “CABINETS”.

Assemble the side panels to the bottom panel using 4 wood screws, 4.0 × 35 mm.

Attach two (or four, if space allows) plinth legs using 4.0 × 40 mm wood screws.

Note: Avoid screwing near the routed recess.

For inset plinths with a lip, the plinth legs must be positioned 90 mm from the front edge (measured without the front attached).

Install the back panel, ensuring that it is pressed fully down into the groove in the bottom panel.

For cabinets with a butcher’s block: slide the shelf into the pre-routed groove in the cabinet. Secure the shelf from the outside of the cabinet using 4.0 × 35 mm wood screws (4 screws per shelf). Slide the “loose” bottom panel into the pre-routed grooves above the bottom panel.

Install the top rails at the back and front edges. Use 4.0 × 35 mm wood screws (4 screws per rail).

Fasten the frame clips using 3.5 × 15 mm pan head screws (1 screw per frame clip).

Note: New drill template – read “DRILL TEMPLATE” before installation.

Install the wall rail onto the wall. Use wood screws of a suitable length depending on the wall material (screws not included).

Attach the mounting rail to the back of the cabinet using 4.5 × 25 mm wood screws (2 pcs).

Attach the front to the cabinet.

Place the butcher’s block or work table into the cabinet.

For those who want to add their own personal touch

A kitchen built to be assembled by you

We deliver made-to-measure cabinet frames. The kitchen is prepared for assembly, and you are responsible for installation and painting yourself, with support from us whenever needed.

The choice of materials is a central part of how we build our kitchens. The cabinet frames are made from solid pine — a durable and living material selected for its strength, long lifespan and ability to be maintained over time. Our approach is based on longevity and care, ensuring that the kitchen can be used, adapted and continue to evolve for many years to come.

Perforated metal sheet

If you have purchased your kitchen pre-painted, the perforated metal sheet is already treated and mounted on the cover panel or frame. If you have chosen an untreated kitchen, the sheet will be delivered unpainted and unmounted. To ensure durability, the perforated metal sheet should be painted before installation.

Surface treatment of perforated metal sheet

1. Preparation

Cleaning: Wipe the perforated metal sheet with alcohol (e.g., isopropanol) or thinner to remove grease and dirt.

Sanding: Use fine sandpaper (240–320 grit) to roughen the surface and improve paint adhesion. Wipe away dust with a clean cloth.

2. Priming

Apply a metal primer to enhance adhesion and protect against rust. Allow the primer to dry according to the manufacturer’s instructions before proceeding with painting.

3. Painting

Brush & Roller: For a traditional painted finish, use a fine brush or foam roller. Apply the paint in thin layers with long, even strokes to avoid streaks.

Spray Paint: For a smooth and even finish, use spray paint. Hold the can about 20–30 cm from the surface and apply several thin layers. Let each layer dry before applying the next.

Drying: Follow the paint manufacturer’s recommendations for drying time.

4. Finishing (Optional)

For extra protection, a clear coat can be applied after the paint has dried. This enhances durability and protects against scratches.

Installation

The perforated metal sheet is mounted into the pre-milled groove in the cover panel or frame.

Use an appropriate adhesive, such as hot melt glue, PU glue (Extern Fix), epoxy glue, or another adhesive suitable for metal and wood.

Press the sheet carefully into the groove and allow the adhesive to cure according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
