Surface Treatment
Cabinet surface treatment
Our cabinets can be treated in different ways to withstand everyday wear and give a kitchen that lasts over time.
Untreated
Our kitchens in untreated wood are delivered without surface treatment for those who want to maintain a completely natural feel or control the final result themselves. Wood is a living material that is affected by humidity and temperature, making proper treatment important for durability.
To protect the surface from dirt and moisture and reduce the risk of the wood warping, we recommend oiling the parts before assembly. Apply Linseed Oil Primer generously and let the wood absorb for approximately 1-2 hours. Then work in any excess in the direction of the grain and wipe dry with a lint-free cloth.
Avoid cleaning agents containing abrasives, alcohol or ammonia. Always wipe up water spills immediately.
Base-oiled
Selders Linseed Oil Primer is a drying oil that protects the wood and makes it more resistant to moisture. It helps the wood become water-repellent, reduces the risk of rot, makes the material more dimensionally stable and also strengthens the wood’s structural integrity.
The product contains no solvents.
The oil is applied in one coat with a spray gun, and after approximately 24 hours of drying time any excess is wiped off.
Hard wax oiled
Osmo Spray Wax is a surface treatment that combines the benefits of both oil and wax. It protects the wood and makes the surface water and dirt repellent while preserving the natural feel of the wood.
The treatment is sprayed on in one coat with a spray gun and then left to dry for approximately 24 hours.
We offer both transparent and white hard-wax oil, making it possible to either preserve the natural tone of the wood or give the surface a slightly lighter character.
Stained
Kombi Ton is a water-based stain that gives the wood its colour. It is sprayed on in one coat for an even and fine result.
Then a coat of Osmo uncoloured satin matt spray wax is applied, which protects the surface and gives a durable, satin matt finish. This treatment is also sprayed on for the best possible evenness.
We offer several different colours for our stains. To learn more about which colours are available and what suits your kitchen best, you are welcome to talk to one of our kitchen planners.

Find the right style
for your kitchen
The door profile sets the tone for the kitchen’s expression and serves as a starting point for the rest of the details. To create a cohesive style it is important to let the choice of door profile harmonise with plinths and crown moulyourgs. Together they frame the kitchen, reinforce the expression and create a whole where proportions and details come together.
