Purchase and Delivery Terms

General

These terms apply to you as a buyer entering into an agreement to purchase goods from Snêk Aktiebolag, Reg. No. 559206-5055. By placing an order for goods from Snêk, the buyer simultaneously accepts these delivery terms.

Minimum order value

Due to high setup costs, we do not accept orders under SEK 10,000 (including VAT and shipping), as all orders are made to order. However, it is possible to add items to an existing order.

Placing Orders

You must be at least 18 years old to make a purchase from us. Customer information must be accurate, and all required fields must be completed. Purchases must be made in your own name. Snêk reserves the right for printing errors, information errors, and specification errors for all our products and services. Snêk cannot guarantee that the appearance and characteristics of the products exactly match the images on the website, as the images are intended for illustration purposes only.

Countertops

It is the customer’s responsibility to provide exact measurements for countertops. When ordering natural stone, the delivered countertop may differ from the examples shown on the website.

We do not apply ROT deductions for the installation of countertops.

Shipping

During the purchase process, the buyer will receive an indicative delivery date. Upon order confirmation, the buyer will receive an agreed delivery date from Snêk.

Before production begins, a final review must always be conducted with Snêk. This final review is carried out digitally, and it is the buyer’s responsibility to schedule it. The final review is important, as we go through the order to check for any changes. After the buyer has approved the documents from the final review, delivery usually takes place within four to six weeks.

Any changes or additions to the order made after the buyer has approved the final review documents will be treated as additional orders. This may result in a delayed delivery date. Production of Snêk’s ordered products is scheduled and only begins after the deposit has been paid. If payment of the deposit is delayed, Snêk reserves the right to change the delivery date.

If the buyer postpones the delivery date by more than one (1) week compared to the confirmed delivery date after the kitchen has been produced, Snêk reserves the right to charge for external storage costs.

Terms of Delivery

Snêk covers the cost and assumes the risk of transport. Through the distributor, Snêk is responsible for unloading from a truck with a tail lift at the property boundary. If additional services are desired, such as carrying the goods inside, the customer must arrange this directly with the distributor. Partial deliveries may occur. Snêk is not responsible for any customs clearance to the delivery address. If the delivery address requires sea transport, Snêk delivers to the desired mainland port (does not apply to Gotland). The customer is responsible for booking a specific delivery time with the shipping company.

Shipping & Delivery Times

Our normal delivery time for kitchens is approximately 8–10 working weeks, depending on whether the kitchen will be painted and if the cabinets are installed by us. This timeframe is calculated from the date payment is received and after consultation with the customer. Delivery times may also be affected by public holidays, vacation periods, or changes to the ordered items. From late November until the end of the year, delivery disruptions may occur. We cannot provide an exact delivery date. When contacted by the shipping company, you will schedule the delivery date for your order.

Goods are delivered to the specified address, or as close as the carrier can reach, or in some cases, to a pickup point. The carrier does not carry the goods inside. Delivery must be signed for by the recipient or their representative according to the carrier’s instructions. Additional charges apply for hard-to-reach addresses, such as islands or narrow access routes.

Do not schedule craftsmen before the delivery has been received and inspected, as we can only provide an estimated delivery time. We do not compensate for idle installers.

Upon delivery, please check the packaging for any damage. Any damages must be noted on the delivery note/slip provided by the driver or pickup point. Note: Without documented damage, a claim cannot be made. Take photos of the damages, both with and without packaging, and email them to info@snek.se. Claims made more than 10 days after delivery will not be accepted. Installed doors cannot be claimed for damage.

Our products are delivered on wooden pallets, which can be up to 3 meters long. Unfortunately, we cannot take these back upon delivery.

Delivery Acceptance

Delivery is made to the buyer at the specified address. The delivery address must be accessible by truck unless otherwise agreed. The buyer is responsible for ensuring that a recipient is present at the time of delivery.

Before signing for the delivery, the recipient must check that the number of packages matches the number stated on the shipping document and inspect the packaging for any damage or missing items. Any discrepancies or damages must be noted on the shipping document by the recipient and/or driver (see instructions on the document). It is also recommended to take photos of any damages and send them to Snêk.

After receipt and signing, responsibility for the goods, including the risk of damage, passes to the buyer. The buyer should promptly unpack and inspect the goods and report any defects or damages to Snêk without delay.

For packages longer than 250 cm, the customer is responsible for having a tractor or forklift available for unloading.

Terms of Payment

The agreed price is payable by invoice as advance payment as follows:

  • Deposit: 20% upon order, net 10 days.

  • Delivery invoice: 80%, due 7 days before delivery from the factory.

Interest on late payments is calculated at the reference rate plus 8%.

Return Policy

Our cabinet frames, doors, and countertops cannot be returned, as they are custom-made for the customer. Other products can be returned within 14 days of delivery, provided the product’s original protective packaging has not been opened.

Claims regarding manufacturing defects or items that do not match the order must be submitted to Snêk’s complaints department via email at info@snek.se.

The recipient may not return, sell, or repair damaged goods before approval from Snêk.

Cancellation Rights

Since the purchase concerns goods that are manufactured to order according to the buyer’s specifications, the purchase is not covered by the statutory right of withdrawal (see Section 11, paragraph 3 of the Swedish Act [2005:59] on Distance and Off-Premises Contracts).

Claims

Products that are damaged during installation in violation of Snêk’s assembly instructions cannot be claimed for defects. The buyer is also required to follow and document agreed maintenance and care procedures. Snêk’s responsibility for defects and damages does not cover issues caused by incorrect assembly or installation, inadequate maintenance, improper care, neglect, abnormal use, or any other factors attributable to the buyer.

Assembly

On-site installation is not included in the quote. If the buyer hires a supplier for installation, Snêk advises the buyer to ensure that delivery to the agreed address has been completed and approved by the customer before the installer arrives. Snêk does not cover costs for installers waiting for delivery.

Painting

On-site painting is not included.

Other

Snêk reserves the right to change information, products, and prices without prior notice, except for already ordered goods. All factual and pricing information is provided subject to printing errors, supplier price increases, any incorrectly stated technical specifications, and potential sold-out items.

Responsibilities

The customer is responsible for ensuring that the order information provided to Snêk (e.g., quantities, measurements, colors, and other choices) is accurate. If the customer discovers that the provided information is incorrect or wishes to make changes to their order, they must contact Snêk immediately. Snêk will always try to accommodate the customer’s changes but cannot guarantee this.

The customer is responsible for their choices in the order, even if they have consulted with Snêk.

Force Majeure

Snêk is not liable for delayed products (including delivery and warranty actions) if the delay is caused by circumstances beyond Snêk’s reasonable control. Examples of such circumstances include—but are not limited to—strikes, terrorist acts, war, supplier, transport or production disruptions, currency fluctuations, governmental actions, legislation, or natural disasters.

Pricing & Payment Terms

All prices are stated in Swedish kronor (SEK) and include 25% VAT. Prices do not include shipping or any payment fees.

Snêk reserves the right to make price changes and correct any incorrect prices and may cancel the purchase and refund the customer for any payment made before production has started.

For kitchen orders, payment is made via invoice: 50% in advance upon placing the order, and the remaining 50% net 10 days before delivery.

For orders placed through the webshop, 100% prepayment is required.

Payments can be made using the methods listed on Snêk’s website, currently via PlusGiro.

Snêk Product Warranty

Products manufactured by Snêk come with a 10-year product warranty from the date of delivery and approval of the manufactured items.

Snêk’s warranty applies to products manufactured by Snêk, provided that the goods have been properly cared for and that the installation has been carried out professionally.

Buyers who have chosen untreated wood products, such as cabinet frames, doors, drawers, plinths, and similar items, should treat these products with primer oil, paint, stain, or similar within one week of removing the packaging. This is done to prevent the delivered products from being affected by humidity and temperature, which could lead to swelling, shrinking, or deformation. This step is not necessary if the products were pre-oiled or pre-painted at Snêk’s production.

Snêk’s warranty does not cover defects caused by accidents after delivery, improper care, abnormal use (misuse), or defects resulting from non-professional installation. Snêk’s products are handcrafted, and materials and colors are ordered uniquely for each production, meaning the final result may differ slightly from samples the buyer has seen. See a separate document on the website regarding approved tolerances. Snêk’s warranty covers product defects but does not include any associated costs or additional expenses that may arise as a result of the defect.

The warranty period starts from the delivery date. The purchase agreement must be presented for warranty claims.

Claims must be submitted to Snêk via email at info@snek.se. The buyer must not return, sell, or repair damaged goods before approval from Snêk. For approved claims, Snêk covers the return shipping costs.

Warranty for Third-Party Products

Warranties for products not manufactured by Snêk, such as appliances, faucets, countertops, and similar items, are subject to the respective manufacturer’s warranty and care instructions. Claims for these products must be made directly to the manufacturer.

Natural Materials

The buyer acknowledges that materials such as wood and stone are natural materials with inherent variations in appearance. Exposure to light causes wood and painted surfaces to mature, which may result in subtle changes in color over time.

Snêk General Terms and Conditions

These terms of purchase apply unless Swedish or other applicable law prescribes conditions that conflict with them. For private consumers, the Swedish Consumer Sales Act and the Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act apply in cases not covered by these terms of purchase.

Customer Information

Snêk stores information about the buyer and the specifications of the ordered product. This information is kept and processed internally by Snêk, and no other organization or person will have access to the stored data. This is done to facilitate future modifications or extensions by the customer and to manage warranty obligations from Snêk.
