A framework against the wall is placed to ensure a contiguous fit and to allow enough space for opening doors and drawers. It’s especially useful if your walls aren’t perfectly straight. Sometimes the framework pieces intended to meet a wall are sent with excess measurements to be cut into place during assembly (this after agreement with the customer).
• Securely fasten the framework piece to the cabinet.
• Place the cabinet against the wall.
• Measure and mark the desired width from the wall to the lower part of the frame piece, ensuring consistency.
• Repeat the measurement and marking for the upper part of the framework piece, ensuring consistency.
• Draw a straight line between the markings. Use a saw to carefully cut along the marked line, adjusting the framework piece to fit perfectly against the wall.
