The ambition with Snêk is to revolutionise the kitchen market. Demand has been greater than expected, say the owners, who have now completed their first funding round. The new funds will be used primarily to increase production capacity and further develop the company’s digital platform.
The company’s customers design and purchase their kitchens directly online without intermediaries. The kitchens are produced in solid wood from the forests of northern Sweden and production takes place in the company’s own facility in Törefors in the municipality of Kalix.
The idea was born during a kitchen renovation of a turn-of-the-century apartment in Malmö. The founding duo Fredrik Karlsson Peraldi and Sandrine Peraldi were frustrated by the complete lack of quality kitchens at reasonable prices, and decided to start something entirely new – and to do so close to the important raw material in Norrbotten.
The company is built on a proprietary technical platform that connects the customer with production, enabling competitive pricing without compromising on quality or design. Since its launch in 2019, Snêk has delivered well over 100 kitchens to customers in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark. To meet demand and ensure continued expansion capacity, the company is now bringing in additional co-owners and new capital.
- We aim to make kitchens that last for generations, thereby adding value for our customers. Our technical platform allows the customer to freely design their kitchen without limitations; think Industry 4.0 combined with Digital First. It permeates everything we do, says Fredrik Karlsson Peraldi, CEO of Snêk.
- We are tremendously impressed by what Snêk has achieved in such a short time. We see great potential in the company and good opportunities to continue growing together. Both commercially and in the development of our digital tools. Snêk’s offering is also a great fit for our customers, says Jens Lundqvist, Deputy CEO and Head of Development at Lundqvist, who will also become a board member of Snêk.
- It is tremendously good news for Töre and Kalix that Snêk is expanding and hiring more people, says Tommy Nilsson, Municipal Commissioner in Kalix Municipality.
